“Resolve conflict, not violence” is not merely a message, but a way to build a safer school and society.
On 9th October 2026, as part of the “Partnership for Safe Schools – Resolve Conflict, Not Violence” project and its grant scheme, a meeting was held with students from the “Dhora Leka” school in Tirana, alongside the school’s administration, teachers, and psychologist. The meeting was organized and conducted by the staff of the Institute for Migration, Development, and Integration.
The discussion focused on communication, amicable resolutions between peers, mediation, adherence to the school’s code of ethics, dialogue, and the importance of creating a school environment free from conflict and violence. Participants discussed the power of honest communication, mutual respect, and understanding as the foundation for healthier relationships among young people—because a conflict can become an opportunity for understanding when we choose to listen, speak, and respect one another.
