On 26October 2026, the latest meeting of the Intersectoral Technical Team (ITT) took place in Pogradec, attended by representatives from various institutions and local stakeholders responsible for the protection and support of vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, reported cases of domestic violence, as well as instances of child neglect and abuse, were reviewed. Discussions also focused on the need for protection, specialized care, and further support for those affected.
The NGO “Unë, Gruaja” (“Me, the Woman”) presented the support provided to individuals affected by domestic and gender-based violence, which includes free psychological and legal counseling services, as well as the provision of emergency aid packages. Part of the discussion was dedicated to cases requiring further intervention and to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, ensuring the most effective response to the needs of those affected.
Collaboration and coordination among institutions remain essential for guaranteeing safety, protecting rights, and ensuring access to necessary services for women, children, and families facing social and economic hardships.
