Pillar I Community Policing Support – Improving the effectiveness of implementation of community policing. The first pillar focuses on consolidating and expanding the ASP adoption of community policing philosophy throughout its operations. Pillar I activities represent the core of the project and directly influence improvement of policing work.
Hence, if ASP officers are trained and mechanisms are established to institutionalize community policing, the police force will become more effective in engaging with and addressing the concerns of local communities.
