This study is the result of the contribution and viewpoints of many actors who are legitimately considered – or are, in practice – Albanian State Police (ASP) partners in the joint efforts to preserve order and prevent criminality.
Our gratitude goes fi rst to all our collaborators within the ASP, to the representatives of various levels of the local government, to representatives of units working for children’s rights at the district level and municipal level, to representatives of regional employment offi ces as well as local units at municipal level, to representatives of regional directorates for economical assistance and social services and to those of the sections for economical assistance and social services in municipal governments, to representatives of regional and municipal educational directorates, to representatives of non-governmental organizations working in areas such as women and children rights, domestic violence, rights of minorities and marginalized groups, traffi cking, blood feud, etc, as well as to representatives of small and medium businesses who have been consulted in the context of this study.
