Grants’ Scheme Activity – Youth Crime Prevention – Fier

On 30th April 2026, an information and awareness-raising meeting on crime prevention among youth was held at ‘Numani’ school in Fier.

This activity was carried out within the framework of the project “Public Safety Team 2 – Partner for a Safe Community”, part of the SCPA Program Grant Scheme, implemented by the “Epoka e Re” organizations in cooperation with the Fier Local Police Directorate.

The purpose of the activity was to inform and raise awareness among young people about the consequences of violating the law, as well as their and the community’s role in crime prevention.

Representatives from the Fier Local Police Directorate and the Fier Territorial Probation Service Branch participated in the meeting.

During the activity, the most frequent forms of crime among youth, methods of prevention and punitive measures were discussed. Concrete examples were also brought forward and positive alternatives were presented, such as education, vocational courses, sports and other activities, guiding young people on how to find real opportunities in their community.
