On 5th May 2026, the Coordinated Referral Mechanism (CRM) meeting was held in the Malesi e Madhe Municipality, with a focus on handling a case involving a minor in a risky situation. The meeting was attended by institutions responsible for social and legal protection, as well as the organization “Woman to Woman” in the SCPA program framework, which provided technical and legal expertise regarding the implementation of legislation on domestic violence.
The case handled belonged to a 16-year-old girl, who had not attended school for two weeks and was in an insecure family situation. During the discussions, concerns were raised about the potential risk of trafficking and the negative impact of the father figure on the safety and well-being of the minor.
After a joint assessment of the situation, the institutions agreed to take protective measures, including initiating procedures for a Protection Order and accommodating the minor in an appropriate residential center. The importance of inter-institutional cooperation and continuous monitoring of the case to guarantee the safety and protection of the child was also emphasized.
