On 02–03 April 2026, Community Policing Officers (CPO) educators participated in a training session focused on the psychological aspects of engaging and educating school students during awareness-raising campaigns through respective modules. The training was delivered by SCPA Program PMT in cooperation with ASP Public Order Directorate.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of CPO educators to better understand youth behaviour, communication approaches, and trust-building techniques when working with students in schools and communities. Participants explored practical methods for delivering awareness sessions in an interactive, respectful, and youth-friendly manner, encouraging active participation and dialogue.
Through discussions and practical examples, the training highlighted the importance of building trust between police and young people, using effective communication strategies, and creating a positive environment that supports prevention and community cooperation.
By enhancing these skills, Community Policing Officers will be better equipped to conduct impactful awareness campaigns on issues affecting youth, while fostering stronger relationships between the police and the community.
