The “Gender, Peace and Security” Association organized, on 22nd May 2025, an awareness-raising meeting with the community of the Spitalla and Porto – Romano, Durres.
Domestic and gender-based violence, security, providing public order, human rights and citizens’ involvement were some of the issues brought to attention during the meeting.
The zone Community Policing Officer, the Health Center Psychologist, as well as representatives of the community center that provides services to the community were part of this meeting. The meeting served to familiarize with the service-providing structures in the area, as well as to increase the trust and cooperation of the community with these institutions in addressing the cases and needs of victims of violence. This meeting was held in the framework of the project “Strengthening Cooperation and Interventions for the Prevention and Addressing of Domestic Violence”, the implementation of which is supported by the Program’s Grant Scheme.
