On May 28th 2025, the awareness-raising activity “Road Safety Day” was held with the participation of dozens of students from the city’s schools at “Taulantia” Square in Durrës. The activity was organized by the Albanian Center for Family Development, in the framework of the project “Awareness and Engagement of Youth for Safety and Education”, part of the first round of the Grant Scheme.
The students participated in a series of educational and interactive activities, such as simulations of traffic situations, scooter races, information corners and a simulation car. Through practical experience and discussions with road safety experts and representatives of the Durres Local Police Directorate, the young people reflected on the importance of safe and responsible behavior on the road.
This activity served as a call for more care and respect for traffic rules, for a safer community for all.
