Respondents were initially asked about the reason they went to the police station to file a report. It can be gathered from the data that most of cases were filed on family violence (27%). Further on, 45% of reports were filled on robbery cases like: incidents of robbery on private property/business (10%), stolen wallet/purse (10%), damage of property (7%), stolen car/bicycle (6%), stolen currency (5%). Regarding the ways of contacting a police structure, in half of cases (50%) the respondents personally went to the Police Station to file a report. POLICE ASSISTANCE SURVEY (129)
Police Assistance Survey (129) was undertaken by IDRA Research & Consulting along with the cooperation of the SwedishAlbanian Project on Community Policing, on behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This study was conducted in order to acquire necessary information regarding satisfaction and effectiveness of communication with the Police structures that provide assistance and service towards callers in need of assistance. In addition, information regarding satisfaction towards State Police, Courts and Prosecution Office has also been gathered. The Study on victims of the crime of domestic violence and sexual assaults is a joint work of the staff of Hotline for Women and Girls in Albania, and the experts and consultants of our center.
