SCPA Program 2nd Steering Committee Meeting with Program Stakeholders

On July 30th, 2025 SCPA Program organized its 2nd Steering Committee meeting with participation from various stakeholders. The SCM was cochaired by Mr Rebani Jaupi, Director of the Public Order and Security Department at ASP and Ms Linda Gjermani, Program Manager at the Embassy of Sweeden. The meeting was attended by stakeholders from ASP management in the area of public security and police training, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Health and Social Protection, Civil Society Support Agency and Association for Local Autonomy.

ASP Director Mr Rebani Jaupi mentioned that ASP as the key beneficiary of the SCPA Program remains committed to implement the community policing philosophy and ensure cooperation with the community to increase security.  ASP has been actively engaged in the program activities and has discussed their implementation step by step. ASP is pleased to see that other actors from state institutions, local government and civil society have also been involved in the activities’ implementation since the goal of community policing is for these actors to cooperate, in order contribute together to the increase of security in our communities.

Ms Linda Gjermani, mentioned that the Government of Sweden remains committed to support ASP in the development of areas of public security and community policing.  She added that the  Progress Report is a reflection of the SCPA program achieved outputs in all its components during its 3rd third phase. SCPA Program has addressed the beneficiaries needs and updated the respective approaches. The SCPA Program implementation functions well as a result of the excellent cooperation of its key beneficiary the ASP.

Mr Andi Shundi, SCPA Program Management Team Leader elaborated on the progress made to date in the framework of the implementation of the work plan activities during the second semester and also focused at the foreseen activities to be implemented in the forthcoming semester.

Program stakeholders carried out disunions as regards implementation of program activities in view of interinstitutional cooperation and coordination. The meeting concluded with the unanimous approval of the SCPA 1st Progress Report. All stakeholders expressed their appreciation for the fruitful and successful cooperation with the Program and expressed their willingness for further cooperation and engagement.
