SCPA PMT organized the 1st session of the workshop on ‘Public Order and Community Policing Statistics Framework’ on 25 July 2025 with ASP representatives from the public order and safety police structures. The workshop is organized in implementation of the respective work plan activity to elaborate and review the CP and public order statistics framework. Following meetings held at Police Commissariat and LPD level in various regions, PMT was able to discuss on the public order statistics framework and also gather information and documents related to this area for further review. Meetings have also been held at ASP HQ level with relevant public order structures and there has been an agreement to organize two sessions of workshops on the ‘CP and Public Order Statistics Framework’ in cooperation and coordination with ASP relevant police structures. During the first session of the workshop the PMT concentrated on its assessment and findings on the statistics framework. The ASP representatives shared their comments and opinions on the PMT assessment and findings and agreed to follow up with the second session workshop due to convene early September 2025. The aim of the workshops is to improve the public order statistics framework so that it supports more the strategic level decision-making within the police organization.
